Before you get in contact with us and make a time for an in-store design consultation, have a quick skim over the below list. If you have any questions, you’re welcome to reach out to us by phone or email.
Ready for an outdoor kitchen design consultation?
So, you’re ready to bring your vision to life!? Eeeek – we’re excited!
- Measure up – draw a rough diagram of your outdoor area with dimensions. If it’s not built yet, bring along some plans of the alfresco area.
- Snap away – if you have an existing area, take some photographs along on your phone.
- Check compliance – ensure your space is compliant (or will be compliant before ordering) with the ventilation requirements. Learn more here
- Consider other trades – Weber Technicians really are craftsmen, but they’re not electricians, gas fitters or plumbers. If you’re wanting power, water or natural gas connections in your outdoor kitchen, you’ll need to factor the time and cost of getting the trades in to assist pre-installation of your Weber Outdoor Kitchen – your design consultant will be able to provide you with more details on where these connections should be to best meet your design.
- Do your research – make sure you’ve made yourself as familiar as possible with the selections you’ll be guided through – barbecue, modules, appliances, granite finishes and door and drawer finishes
- Be prepared for 20 questions – our Weber Outdoor Kitchen retailers are experts at helping consumers find the right solutions for their needs. You should expect that they’re going to have a range of questions for you about your lifestyle and how to provide you with the best solution to your needs, for example:
- What is your timeline for installation?
- What is your budget?
- What are your culinary ambitions?
- How frequently will you use your outdoor kitchen?
- How many people will regularly be cooking for?
- Write down your own questions! As is always the way, you’ll think of a question about your dream Weber Outdoor Kitchen while you’re driving to work, in a boring meeting, or enjoying a barbecue with friends – try to jot them down (or save to the notes on your phone) and bring these along to your design consultation.
